Born on April 12, 1979 in Manhattan, New York Claire Danes is a Golden Globe Award-winning and Emmy Award-nominated actress. She is popularly described as WASPy. Danes attended the Dalton School, New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies, and Professional Performing Arts School , New York . After that she studied at the Lycée Français de Los Angeles in Los Angeles , California . Danes went to Yale University in 1998 where she focused on her acting career seriously. Owing to this she dropped out of Yale.

She made her acting debut as Angela Chase in the television series My So-Called Life. For her significant role in the debut performance she won the Golden Globe Award and was nominated for the prestegeous Emmy Award. Danes played Elizabeth (Beth) in the movie adaptation of Little Women. And her role as Holly Hunter’s daughter in Home for the Holidays directed by Jodie Foster was an acclaimed work.

Dane’s notable work includes her portrayal of Juliet Capulet in Baz Luhrmanns’s adaptation movie of William Shakespeare’s Romeo Juliet co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio in 1996. It was quite surprising to hear that she turned down the lead role of Rose DeWitt for the super hit movie Titanic in the following years. The reason was that she had been exhausted by working on Romeo Juliet.

She starred opposite Susan Sarandon and Kieran Culkin in the hit Igby Goes Down in 2002. Following this, Danes also co-starred as Meryl Streep’s daughter in the Oscar-nominated flick The Hours co-staring Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore, and Ed Harris. Her role in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines was also superb.

It was widely reported that Danes had her first onscreen kiss in an episode of My So-Called Life before she had one in real life. She dated Australian singer Ben Lee for almost six years. Their relationship ended in 2003. Danes confirmed in the 2007 episode of Late Show with David Letterman that she is currently dating Dancy.

After filming Brokedown Palace in Manila, Vogue magazine quoted Danes saying that Manila was a ‘ghastly and weird city.’ Despite all controversies and rumors about her, the actress is still acclaimed as a role model for her talent as well as looks. In this respect, her hair styles are widely appreciated in the fashion circus. Claire Danes Hairstyles have a certain quality that seems to handle all types of hairdos. Let’s observe some of the most popular hairstyles of this actress.

Popular Claire Danes Hairstyles:

Soft Sexy Layers

Danes’ blonde hair is what her fans went crazy about in her latest romantic-thriller Stardust. At the Los Angeles Premiere of the movie, Danes wore a hair style with perfectly trimmed soft layers. For the style she cut her hair to the shoulder length. Her soft layers were added around the mid-lengths. The very ends shaped her cute baby face adding volume to the top portion. This hairstyle is great for those with a longer facial structure.

 Sweet Style

Danes sported a sweet style at the world premiere of Evening. The style looked great with her length left just below the shoulders. She perfectly cut her soft waves and applied the technique of adding weight to the fine texture. Height at the top portion was supplemented by adding the bangs that were pinned backward. The style indeed matched her rounder face shape.

Attractively Short

At the CFDA Fashion Awards 2007, Danes trimmed her length letting it fall freely on the shoulders. In this style she didn’t make the layers stretch out to the ends giving a nice finishing touch, the long bangs were styled falling across her forehead. It helped shorten the look of her longer face shape. The waves throughout the ends of her hair also helped to add weight. This styled filled out the look of her diamond faced shape.

Funky and Sexy

Danes’ funky and sexy hairstyle was seen at the premier of Shop Girl. She cut her hair into short-cropped layers around the top and sides. If you have medium to best hair type, this style will work best for you.

Claire Danes Hairstyles are trendy and sleek. They are extremely feminine and can be sported on various occasions. If you want to get that go glamour look, the best way is to opt for one of the above mentioned styles.
