Jude Law Hairstyles: Blend of Funky and Classic

Jude Law was born on 29 December 1972. He is an English actor famous for his varied roles in dramas, movies and theatres. His is best known for his lead roles in movies in the 1990s and 2000s. He began acting with the UK National Youth Music Theatre in 1987. He had his first TV role in 1989. In 1997, his portrayal in the Oscar Wilde biopic Wilde garnered him the Evening Standard British Film Award titled ‘Most Promising Newcomer.’

Law moved to Hollywood in the 1990s. He worked in notable movies directed by Andrew Niccol, Clint Eastwood, and Sam Mendes. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in The Talented Mr. Ripley in 2000. He was also critically acclaimed for Best Actor in a Leading Role for Cold Mountain in 2003.

Being included in the Top Ten List in 2006, Law consequently became the most bankable movie star in Hollywood. On March 1, 2007, the French government conferred on him the honorable award Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in recognition for his contribution to the World Cinema Arts. 2009 is the year set for his return to the theatre stage to perform a role in Shakespeare’s play Hamlet. It will be directed by Kenneth Branagh.

Law began acting with the National Youth Music Theatre in 1987. He played various roles in the Edinburgh Fringe awarded The Ragged Child. One of his first major stage roles was as Foxtrot Darling in Philip Ridley’s multi-award-winning The Fastest Clock In The Universe. He went on to appear as Michael in the West End production of Jean Cocteau’s tragicomedy Les Parents Terrible directed by Sean Mathias. For his magnificent newcomer status in it, law was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Newcomer. He received the Ian Charleson Award for Outstanding Newcomer.

In 1989, Law got his first TV role in a movie based on Beatrix Potter book The Tailor of Gloucester. After minor roles in British television, including a two-year stint in the Granada TV soap opera Families and the leading role in the BFI /Channel 4 short The Crane, Law had his breakthrough with the British crime drama Shopping.
