American actress Samaire Armstrong was born on October 31, 1980 in Tokyo to a Scottish father, Hunter Armstrong, and an Italian mother, Sylvia. Armstrong lived in Japan for several years, before moving to Hawaii and later to Sedona, Arizona. In Arizona she attended Sedona Red Rock High School. She then attended the University of Arizona for a year to major in costume design and theatre. But her acting career forced her to drop out of the school and moved to Los Angeles.
With her first major break into film, Armstrong embarked on the parody movie Not Another Teen Movie. She also had a recurring role in Freaks and Geeks. Some of her notable guest appearances include Judging Amy, Party of Five, C.S.I.: Miami and the popular TV series The X-Files.
Armstrong acted in the The O.C. just for one episode. As her sudden disappearance from the scene shocked her fans, she eventually returned to the series.
