Waxes pomades and creams are hair styling products that are used by millions of people across the globe. They have different functions and can tame your tresses as you like.

In recent years hair wax has gained immense popularity and is also called pomade, putty, whip and glue. The major ingredients of this product include beeswax, candelilla wax, castor wax, emulsifying wax, japan wax, lanolin, carnauba wax and ozokorite.

You can also make was at home. You will need one part beeswax, one part aloe juice and two extra parts virgin coconut oil. Blend all the ingredients together in a small vessel and bring them to a boil. You can store this for up to a week.

Pomade: The term pomade or pomatum was devised from the French word pommade, meaning an ointment in English. It is a greasy substance that is used as a popular hair styling agent. It makes the hair look sleek and shiny. It is quite different from other hair styling tools such as hair spray and hair gel as it does not dry and can only be removed after several washes. A special shampoo can be used to remove it. Most pomades contain petroleum jelly and mineral oil. Perfumes and coloring agents are added to pomade and vary in weight, shine and fragrance. Stiffer pomades are known to have higher concentration f beeswax, whereas the lighter ones may have higher concentration of oils.

Cream is an opaque soft wax and is used to control flyaway hair. You require applying a minute quantity of the product on the tresses. It is formulated for thick or fine, straight hair for which wax might be too heavy.

Waxes, Pomades and Creams have gained a lot of popularity in recent years and are used by almost every hairstylist. You can get the desired look and style for any occasion with these great products and can enhance your look instantly.
